FC Bayern Women Extend Their Winning Streak with Victory Over Hoffenheim

In a strong show at the Dietmar-Hopp-Stadion in Sinsheim, FC Bayern Women won 5-1 over TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The team earned a tenth win in a row in all matches. This run keeps them at the top of the Frauen-Bundesliga as they enter the final international break of the year.
The match began with surprise. Hoffenheim’s Valesca Ampoorter scored a penalty at the 10th minute after a foul on Bayern’s Alara. Bayern worked hard from the start. Georgia Stanway scored an equalizer in the 30th minute with a calm finish after a good pass from Momoko Tanikawa. The momentum shifted at that point.
Hoffenheim lost strength before halftime. Defender Lisann Karl received a second yellow card. With one less player, Hoffenheim could not keep up. In the second half, Bayern used their advantage. Alara scored after a corner early in the period.
Momoko Tanikawa shone in this match. She scored two goals in the 55th and 74th minutes after slipping past the defense. Stanway helped set up both goals with smart passes. Then in the 80th minute, Arianna Caruso scored with a bold shot that sealed the win.
This success built Bayern’s lead. The win brought three points and pushed Bayern six points ahead on the league table. The team, as the defending double champions, showed steady play. Head coach José Barcala praised his players for staying calm after a slow start. He noted their strong play over seven games in three weeks.
The match had moments off the field too. Players wore warm-up shirts to support teammate Lena Oberdorf as she healed from injury. Both teams displayed the “WE29 – Together WE Rise” banner in support of Germany’s bid to host the UEFA Women’s EURO 2029. The gesture showed unity among players.
Defender Carolin Simon celebrated a milestone. She reached her 150th game for Bayern and her 250th in the Bundesliga. Her return from injury brightened the day.
With this win, FC Bayern Women now take a well-earned break. They will play again on December 7th against Eintracht Frankfurt. The team shows strong determination to keep the league title and build more strength in German women’s football.
